Installments Enabled by Visa allow for the cardholder (with an eligible card) to pay for Purchase and Pre-Authorization transactions to be paid in segments by the cardholder while the merchant gets paid in full. During the transaction process, a screen will show up and prompt the user if they want to pay for this in installments. If the cardholder selects for the payment to be made in installments, the installmentOptIn field will be returned in the response to the request.

This feature is available for Visa and Mastercard. 

For installment options to be enabled, you need to contact your client consultant and ensure that your device is on the latest software version. After your client consultant team enables the feature, you will need to perform a Sync command.

There are no specific parameters that need to be sent by the Electronic Cash Register (ECR) to enable Installments by Visa on the device.
